towards particle theory, covering areas like Relativistic Quantum Theory,
QED and Cosmology.The title of my dissertation was Supernovae and Neutrinos.

Coordinator, Key Skills in Mathematics, Portsmouth University. The aim here is to set up stand-alone units in Key skills for delivery over the Internet.

- Tutor, National Extension College. This involved working on a contract with the Coca-Cola company to send about 100 of their employees through an external degree from London University. NEC is mainly a correspondence college but we had residentials about every 2 months. The Maths section consisted of about 50% general Maths and 50% Statistics.
- Lecturer in Computing, Pontypridd College. Responsiblity for A-level Computing and for supervising work on word processing and spread- sheet packages.

second-level course MST204 - Mathematical Methods and Models. The mathem
atical content primarily involved vectors (and vector calculus etc.)
and differential equations which were then applied to mechanics (up to a
description and calculation of normal modes).

Brief Summary : Four appearances on University Challenge in 1984, reaching the quarter-finals. Nominally less successful in 1998, although by then Universities had to fight thru preliminary rounds to appear on the program itself - we managed to make the last 28 out of 150 starters. Semi-finalist on Brain of Britain in 1999, losing the semi-final by one point.
Also appearances on Bank Raid (Radio Wales), Elimination (Radio Wales), DLT's Pub Quiz (Radio 1).
Current organizer of Brain of Mensa quiz. Worked as pub quizmaster in Newcastle (Royal Archer). Six auditions for the Krypton Factor. Have had some quizzes bought by IPC Magazines and some questions used by Radio Wales quiz, Elimination.
