Wasserklops 'klops' meaning meatballs - refers to the fountain outside the Europa Center. Its official name
is Weltkugel-Brunnen. It was designed by Joachim Schmettau and was built in 1983.
Between 1982 und 1984 the Breitscheid Platz was re-designed by Ivan Krustik und Oskar Reith. It had only become a pedestrian area since 1977/78 when the connection between Kurfürstendamm und Budapester Straße was blocked.
